EMPOWER FITNESS  CLASS DESCRIPTIONS: SESSION B

Balance & Movement:  (Monday 7:00pm-7:30pm)   New!  Learn and practice focused strength exercises and specially designed  movement sequences to improve your balance and functional performance.

Chair Cardio:  (Friday 4:00pm-4:30pm)   Get your heart rate up and burn some calories all while seated to reduce the stress on leg joints.  Come join the fun!

Chair Strength & Balance:  (Wednesday 11:00am-11:30am)   NEW!  Beginner level class designed with resistance and balance exercises, all done using a chair.  Core work too!

Chair Yoga:  (Monday 11:00am-11:30am)   NEW!  This gentle form of Yoga is practiced using a chair.  Learn yoga postures, breathing techniques and relaxation methods.  Strengthen, stretch and soothe.

Circuit Club :  (Thursday 4:30pm-5:00pm)   Learn a new 30 minute routine using the strength circuit machines combined with interval cardio bursts.  Fun!

Eye Opener:  (Wednesday 7:45am-8:15am)   Jump start your day with this fun workout that includes cardio, weights and mat work.

Forever Flexible:  (Friday 12:00pm-12:30pm)    This class is all about practicing to keep our muscles long and extending the range of motion for our joints.

Group Personal Training:   Get the benefits of personalized attention at a substantially reduced cost.  Get out of your comfort zone with this full body conditioning program designed at beginner to intermediate level.  Class size is limited.

Group Personal Training Beginner:  (Tuesday 11:15am-12:00pm, No class 8/12  Get the benefits of individualized attention in this small group setting designed at a  beginner level.  A full-body conditioning program including strength,  flexibility and balance.  Work standing, seated and on the floor with modifications given for special needs.

Line Dancing:  (Monday 8:00am-8:30am, No Class8/18)   Come and have fun and burn calories as you shake up the dance floor!  We’ll do some popular line dances.

Muscle Mambo:  (Thursday 10:30am-11:00am)   This is a low to moderate intensity complete workout including strength, interval bursts for cardio and stretching.  Cardio intervals will be based on dance steps.

Resistance Mix:  Use various equipment and your own body weight as tools to make you strong, to replace fat with lean muscle tissue to boost metabolism and keep your joints moving smoothly… all thru resistance.

Sunset Hatha Yoga:  (Tuesday 7:00pm-7:30pm)   Hatha yoga uses asanas (individual poses) to release you from the stresses of your day.  A variety of asanas will work together to build strength, flexibility & a deep sense of peace and balance.  A brief meditation concludes each class.

Tai Chi:   (Tuesday 10:00am-11:00am)    An “internal” martial art for all ages to develop internal energy and balance.

Instructor:  Glenn Swann                 Members=$40          Non-Members=$50

 

Zumba:  Latin inspired routines combine both fast and slow rhythm that burn calories, tones and sculpts the body. Have some fun in this energizing workout!
