A Simple Green Smoothie Formula

2 CUPS LEAFY GREENS  +  2 CUPS LIQUID BASE  +  3 CUPS RIPE FRUIT + A BOOST(1-2 tbs)  =  A delicious, nutritious, and nourishing ,meal

LEAFY GREENS:   Spinach, Kale, Romaine, Bok Choy, Swiss Chard, Collard Greens, Dandelion Greens

LIQUID BASE:   Water, Coconut Water, Coconut Milk, Almond Milk

RIPE FRUIT:   Banana, Mango, Orange, Avocado, Peach, Pear, Apple, Pineapple, Grapes

BOOSTS:   Chia Seeds, Coconut Oil, Almond Butter, Hemp Seeds, Hemp Protein Powder, Eggwhite Powder, Flax Seeds, Cacao, Cinnamon, Acai Powder

Helpful Tips To Prepare a Smoothie

  1. Follow the 60/40 formula;  60% fruits to 40% leafy greens
  2. Avoid chunks and blend in stages; blend up your leafy greens and liquid first, then add the fruits and blend again
  3. To get an extra chilly smoothie, freeze your fruits and greens first then add straight to the blender
  4. Use raw natural sweeteners, if necessary, like dates or raw local honey
  5. In a  rush? Make ahead and put in airtight containers (for up to 2 days) and just grab and go!
